Known History

In 1981, a convertible version of the renowned 911 is introduced to the public at the Geneva Motor Show. It becomes highly appreciated by customers and converts in quite a significant success. At the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche presents a prototype with a wind deflector replacing the windscreen, and with a roll-over bar. The car was rather intended to be used on the race track. The idea was good because, the following year, Porsche decides to release the 911 Speedster model, iconic name used by the 356 and combining “speed“ and “roadster“ and based on the 911 Carrera convertible. Both rear seats are removed in favour of a polyester tonneau cover in the same colour of the car, the windscreen is changed into a narrower and more tilted version, and the side windows become more designed and shorter in height.

This particular “narrow“ 911 Speedster was delivered new by the Belgian dealership Dieteren, and then imported to Italy by the historical dealership Milano Achilli Motors for its second owner. At the time, the car had less than 20,000 km reading. It now displays a mileage of 42,375 km and has all its original stickers in the doorways and on the hoods.

As demonstrated in the service book and by its exceptional condition both inside and outside, this car benefited from a very meticulous maintenance within the Porsche network. It has adjustable electric bucket seats, the original short shift gear-lever and all different original kits.

With no more than 171 examples of this narrow version ever produced, this Speedster is a unique opportunity to own a model which is nowhere to be found in today's market and in such pristine condition with all the best specifications.
