Known History

The 360 Modena presented at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show succeeded the 355 by adopting the formula of the V8-powered berlinette with the engine located amidships. It was the first Ferrari to be built with an aluminum chassis and body. The engine from the 355, with double camshaft and aluminum cylinder heads, developed 400bhp. These technical advances were complemented by a much superior finish. Registered on July 28, 2001 by Auvergne Moteurs, the car on sale is simply exceptional. Most importantly, this car has been in the same family of Ferrari enthusiasts since new. It is part of a collection which includes a F40, a 288 GTO, and so on. The car has covered less than 44,750km on the day of our test, and is in a very good state, as it has always been the subject of a scrupulous service regime, as can be seen by the invoice folder. Besides, this Modena has just been overhauled at Lecoq Paris so that it is in perfect mechanical condition for sale. On this occasion, in addition to the traditional service, the timing belts were replaced, as well as the rocker cover seals and the water pump. The air conditioning was also re-charged and the 4 tires changed. To match the excellent condition of the car, its owner also had the 4 rims repainted. In an elegant color combination, “argento nurburgring“ with black hood and blue leather interior and grey carpets, with matching stitching, the car is now very well preserved. Only a few interior trims have small flaws, like a sticky surface, usually encountered on these cars. Equipped with the optional F1 gearbox, it is both efficient and versatile. A really desirable spider version, this 360 Modena will be delivered with all of its manuals, its tool kit and its accessories. Offered at an attractive estimate, it is ready to be enjoyed by a true blue enthusiast.
