Known History

After seven years of production, The Porsche 911 sees its displacement increase for the third time to 2.4 litres. Just like before, three versions were built: T, E, and S, to which can be added a rare T/E version destined to the American market, equipped with injection to comply with the new pollution regulations. The 2.4 litre models made between 1971 and 1973 can be recognized by the dry-sump system oil-filling door, which was positioned between the right-rear wheel and the door. This system was actually deleted while in production because this oil door resembled the fuel door and for certain users the confusion caused some issues…

This particular car has a beautiful blood orange paint colour (2323 ref. 018), black faux leather interior and Perlon corduroy fabrics, similar to when it was first out of the factory. It was ordered by the D'Ieteren brothers and delivered new by the Chanabé dealership to an expatriate in Gabon residing in Libreville, who purchased it in order to use it in Europe. It is equipped with an optional 5-speed gearbox, an anti-roll bar at the front and a sheet-steel spoiler like the one on the S. The car's history is evidenced by its service logbook stamped by Chanabé and Sonauto, which tells us that the first owner kept it until 2015. The second owner carried out a full restoration. The engine was entrusted to Stephane Heurdier at his workshop in The Hague, where it was rebuilt into S configurations and fitted with hydraulic timing chain tensioners, S-type camshafts and Mahle pistons. The gearbox, clutch, fuel pump, tank, exchangers etc…are new. Restoration on the bodywork was carried out by Heritage Classique in Saint Cloud. The odometer (converted in km) and the on-board clock have been revised by Station Compteur. The service logbook, the factory certificate and the ticket of the mining department are included in the file, as well as its tools kit. This sports car will give great pleasure to its future buyer.
