Known History

Equipped for historic races, our interesting short-wheelbase 911 has benefitted in recent years from an interesting preparation. Its current owner acquired it in 2016, in love with Porsche and historic races. He notably took part in the Tour Auto, the Mans Classic and the Angoulême course des remparts. The car has actually just completed the 2020 Tour Auto in regularity, achieving the entirety of the course without any reliability issues. Pictures in the file attest of a past restoration. The bodywork, formerly red and repainted a number of times, was entirely stripped before being redone and repainted white. On the mechanical front, the type 901/6 equipped with two Weber carburetors seem in good condition, a dyno test at Crubilé in 2015 stated no less than 180 hp. The cabin was equipped with a rollcage, beautiful Sparco bucket seats, and all the necessary equipment to obtain a HTP. It was delivered on 6 July 2016 with a validity period of 10 years. Our 911 will be delivered with its file including pictures of the restoration, a 2017 expertise, its HTP and a large number of parts invoices. This 1966 Porsche 911 is historically important because it highlights the very essence of what made this model a true legend. Eligible for the most important historic races, it is a reliable and powerful car that forged the 911 myth.
