Known History

At the Turin Motor Show of 1960, a nice sporty version, the 2300S coupÚ, was offered by Fiat for 2,500,000 lires. Engine output was 136bhp at 5600rpm and its body, designed and manufactured by Ghia, attracted a significant clientele.

The car on offer is particularly interesting because it was sold new in France, in Paris in the 17th arrondissement, by Bonnevie & Cie, as can be seen from the original purchase invoice. The car was registered on November 25, 1964 for the first time, and then, offered for sale by professionals. It was acquired by its current owner in 2017 and would have known only two owners since new. Today, this well preserved car is in its original configuration, in its petrol blue shade, and it has retained the magnificent, deliciously weathered, red leather interior, which was an option then. The documents accompanying the car are also particularly interesting and include the maintenance manual, the Fiat network of the time, and the after-sales service book. It is also equipped with its vintage Philips car radio, jack, and tool kit. In good overall condition, it was certainly repainted a few years ago, and its interior carpets restored. Its mechanicals are working satisfactorily, making it possible to get to Normandy from Paris, and back, to the delight of its occupants, as its owner told us. Rare, powerful, and elegant, this Fiat 2300S has an enviable history and deserves the interest of all serious collectors.
