This a collectors car that few will have the opportunity to own.
So rare most people refuse to accept or believe the fact that the Porsche produced a successor to the 1973 Carrera 2.7 RS Touring. There are LOTS of nuances that confuse the "experts"...particularly as many haven't even heard that these even exist. They are not going to conform to standards, may have things NOT in the PET for that year, etc. They were a "Sondermodell" special order from the factory.

Uber Rare Carrera RS 2.7 – only 123 made.
68 are known to exist worldwide, 14 cars in the USA
If you are looking for one of the last RS engined 911, this might just be for you. Because the weight between the 1973 RS Touring and this 1976 Carrera are almost identical, so is the performance.
There is that snarling exhaust. The noise is classic air-cooled flat-six, with a little extra nasal growl to remind you it's something extra special. The price difference between the two is considerable, so if you have wanted the experience of the 1973 RS but couldn't afford the price, here is your chance.
This #9119, Sondermodell, originally sold only to Porsche enthusiasts within Germany as a non-production special. The last street car Porsche ever produced with mechanical fuel injection. "This successor to the 1973 2.7RS with the identical engine and similar DNA-remains either unknown or misunderstood even by long-time Porsche enthusiasts. The Sondermodell coupes were not standard production 911s. They never appeared in factory brochures, and most Porsche books don’t even reference them. They were only sold in Germany, basically through the backdoor, during the last two months of the 1976 model year. They were the last model-year street Porsche with MFI“ quoted from –Carrera 2.7 book, Ryan Snodgrass.
Same 911/83 RS mechanically fuel injected (MFI) engine that produced 210 bhp as the 1973 Carrera RS. Same weight,1075 kg, like the 1973 RS Touring. It came with several performance enhancements as standard, including flared rear wheel arches, Bilstein dampers, 18mm rear anti-roll bar, 6” front and 7" rear wheels, and a limited-slip differential. Like all the ‘76 911 range, the Sondermodell also benefited from Porsche’s adoption of the improved Thyssen zinc coating process for the entire bodyshell.
Germany was the only market to receive these last-of-the-line Carrera 2.7 Sondermodells, which were reserved for Porsche’s most favoured clients, many of them from the racing community. These cars are considered by many enthusiasts to be the last of the ‘real’ Carreras.
None of the 113 cars came from the factory with spoilers. If someone wanted a front and rear spoiler, the dealership was the one to add it and not the factory.

Originally Bitter Chocolate, but repainted a more attractive factory Viper Green, which is period correct as this colour was offered by the factory for one year only in 1976.
