Known History

This elegant Peugeot 203 was registered in France on November 8, 1957, and was part of the famous André Lurton collection, auctioned by Artcurial Motorcars in September 2020. It was on this occasion that its current owner had acquired it, attracted by its superbly preserved condition, its sunroof and the beautiful Robri accessory fender covers. He then set about getting it back to working order. Thus, the engine was completely dismantled and checked, and all the seals were replaced. The distribution chain has been changed, the fuel system has been refurbished, including the fuel tank. The ignition has been the subject of the same attention, as was the cooling system with the repair of the radiator and the change of the hoses. The clutch disc was replaced during the engine removal. On the running gear side, the four shock absorbers have been restored, the front and rear bearings changed, as well as the ball joints, bellows, silent blocs, pivots and their bushings. The axle has been checked and its tightness revised. In the passenger compartment, the door, trunk, windshield and sunroof seals have been changed. The electrical system also received a major overhaul. Almost € 17,000 has been spent to be able to take to the road in the best conditions. It was a happy event that has forced the current owner to part with it, but we are sure that this beautiful car will fall into hands as caring and passionate as the current ones.
