Just the looks, not the stratospheric running costs. This example was ordered new in Europe and delivered to the first owner in Japan. Let's start with the configuration of the 996. The car is finished in the timelessly beautiful “Nachtblau” and equipped with a “Metropol Blau” interior. In addition, the car is equipped with some pleasant optional extras. The engine is linked to the popular Tiptronic automatic transmission, which you can also operate via push buttons on the steering wheel. In addition, this Carrera 4S has climate control, onboard computer, Litronic Xenon lighting, seat heating, Turbo brakes, CD changer, Alcantara headliner, folding rear seat and memory for the driver's seat. The combination of the blue exterior with the dark blue interior makes the car a timelessly beautiful appearance.
It is not only the colour combination that is very beautiful but also the condition of the car. The body is completely free of signs of wear. The wheels are all undamaged and fitted with good Michelin Pilot Sport tires in the correct sizes with N-coding. What may also be called striking is that the paint is completely original. The lamps are of course also undamaged. In short, a car that immediately shows that it has not had to sleep outside and has been cherished.
The interior is in equally good condition. The leather on the seats looks beautiful and is free of entry damage. The carpets are in new condition. The Alcantara sky looks beautiful. Also, all controls and instruments are completely original and look beautiful. The car is equipped with an original Porsche radio with a CD changer. Above it is the controls for climate control and below is space for loose CDs and the buttons for the seat heating. The most eye-catching, however, is the beautiful blue leather steering wheel. The previous owner commissioned his permanent garage to find an original and new Porsche leather steering wheel. That was not easy, but in the end, it worked, it could just be that the factory is now really finished. It is indicative of the way in which this car has been treated. The carpets in the luggage compartment also look like they could be pulled through a ring and we wouldn't be surprised if no one has ever sat in the back seat.
Then the technique. A text about a Porsche 996 is of course not complete without mentioning the IMS bearing. According to the one, a lower day leads to an exploded engine in no time and for the other a heavily exaggerated horror story that is not true. The truth will, as is often the case in cases like this: somewhere in the middle. In this case, however, there is nothing to worry about. The previous owner brought the car to Resto in Nijmegen immediately after purchase to carry out three very important modifications. The cooling system has been upgraded to reduce engine heat. The air/oil separator was renewed and finally, the car got a new and improved IMS bearing. Whether the horror stories are true or not, it doesn't really matter anymore, in this case, everything is equipped with good upgrades from a specialist. The maintenance is always perfectly performed. This car has never had to drive around with old oil in the block and was serviced annually by a different Porsche specialist. Other major maintenance carried out in the past 50,000 kilometres are the engine mounts, the automatic transmission has been flushed, a new radiator has been fitted and a new hardy disk has been fitted in the four-wheel drive. While driving it is immediately noticeable that this is a very fit copy. Beeps and creaks shine through the absence and the car feels wonderfully tight. The engine is in top condition and runs fantastic through the full rev range. You can operate the Tiptronic yourself via buttons on the steering wheel or the automatic transmission can switch for you by simply leaving it in Drive. The brakes come from the Turbo and therefore more than enough power to slow down the Porsche. The combination of the large brakes and the wide rubber ensures that you can regain the speed you have built up just before with a wonderfully secure feeling. you can shake it off so easily. It is a real pleasure to drive this Porsche 911. The engine produces 320 hp and can accelerate this car from 0-100 in 5.5 seconds, the top speed is 280 kilometres per hour. Very impressive performance even by today's standards.
The Porsche 996 is widely appreciated and is a car that can do everything. If you choose to use the car on a daily basis, you will not be disappointed. The clarity is great, the car is built like a house and the driving behaviour is wonderful. If you decide to only take the car outside during good weather and special occasions, this would also be an excellent choice. The values of the 996 Carrera 4S have already shown an impressive upward pattern in recent years and for now, there is no reason to believe that this trend is coming to an end any time soon. The car is very well documented from new, such as the original booklets, maintenance invoices and the original papers. In short: a fantastic Porsche 996 Carrera 4S in perhaps the most beautiful colour combination. As the Germans know how to describe the condition so beautifully: "traumzustand".

Stopt u maar met zoeken. Als u op zoek bent naar de perfecte 996 dan is dit uw auto. De 996 Carrera 4S volgt een lange traditie van Porsche met auto’s die zijn voorzien van een Turbo carrosserie maar zonder turbo motor. Wel de looks, niet de stratosferische running costs zeg maar. Dit exemplaar werd nieuw besteld in Europa en afgeleverd in Japan aan de eerste eigenaar. Hoewel ze in Japan aan de linkerkant rijden is het een ultiem status symbool om een linksgestuurde auto te bezitten. Het liefst dan ook nog een model dat normaliter gewoon leverbaar is met het stuur aan de rechterzijde. De eerste Japanse eigenaar heeft perfect voor de auto gezorgd en heeft er 58.000 kilometer mee gereden. De auto is daarna naar een absolute top liefhebber gegaan in Nederland die de auto tot 78.500 kilometer heeft gereden.
Laten we maar beginnen met de configuratie van de 996. De auto is uitgevoerd in het tijdloos fraaie “Nachtblau” en voorzien van een “Metropol Blau” interieur. Daarnaast is de auto voorzien van enkele prettige meeruitvoeringen. De motor is gekoppeld aan de geliefde tiptronic automaat die u ook middels drukknoppen op het stuur kunt bedienen. Daarnaast heeft deze Carrera 4S de beschikking over climate control, boordcomputer, Litronic Xenon verlichting, stoelverwarming, Turbo remmen, cd-wisselaar, alcantara hemelbekleding, neerklapbare achterbank en geheugen voor de bestuurdersstoel. De combinatie van het blauw exterieur met het donkerblauwe interieur maakt de auto tot een tijdloos fraaie verschijning.
Het is niet alleen de kleurcombinatie die erg mooi is maar ook de staat waarin de auto verkeert. De carrosserie is volledig vrij van gebruikerssporen. De wielen zijn allen onbeschadigd en voorzien van goede Michelin Pilot Sport banden in de correcte maten met N-codering. Wat verder opvallend mag worden genoemd is dat de lak volledig origineel is. Vanzelfsprekend zijn de lampen eveneens onbeschadigd. Kortom een auto waaraan direct te zien is dat ze niet buiten heeft hoeven slapen en is gekoesterd.
Het interieur verkeert in even goede conditie. Het leder op de stoelen ziet er prachtig uit en is vrij van instapschade. De tapijten verkeren in nieuwstaat. De Alcantara hemel ziet er prachtig uit. Ook alle bedieningselementen en instrumenten zijn volledig origineel en zien er prachtig uit. De auto is voorzien van een originele Porsche radio met cd-wisselaar. Daarboven zit de bediening voor de climate control en eronder is ruimte voor losse CD’s en zitten de knoppen voor de stoelverwarming. Het meest in het oog springende is echter het prachtige blauwe lederen stuur. De vorige eigenaar heeft zijn vaste garage de opdracht gegeven een origineel en nieuw lederen Porsche stuur te vinden. Dat was nog niet eenvoudig maar uiteindelijk is het toch gelukt, het zou zomaar eens kunnen zijn dat ze bij de fabriek nu ook echt op zijn. Het is tekenend voor de wijze waarop er met deze auto is omgegaan. Ook de tapijten in de bagageruimte zien er uit om door een ringetje te halen en het zou ons niet verbazen als er nog nooit iemand op de achterbank heeft gezeten.
Dan de techniek. Een tekst over een Porsche 996 is natuurlijk niet compleet zonder het IMS lager te benoemen. Volgens de één een lager dag binnen no-time voor een ontplofte motor zorgt en voor de ander een zwaar overtrokken horror verhaal waar niets van waar is. De waarheid zal, zoals vaker in dit soort gevallen: ergens in het midden liggen. In dit geval is er echter niets om u druk om te maken. De vorige eigenaar heeft de auto direct na aanschaf naar Resto in Nijmegen gebracht om drie hele belangrijke modificaties door te voeren. Er is een upgrade uitgevoerd aan het koelsysteem waardoor de motor minder warm wordt. De lucht/olieafscheider werd vernieuwd en tot slot kreeg de auto een nieuw en verbeterd IMS lager. Of de horrorverhalen nou waar zijn of niet, dat maakt eigenlijk niet meer uit, in dit geval is alles voorzien van goede upgrades bij een specialist. Het onderhoud is immer perfect uitgevoerd. Deze auto heeft nooit rond hoeven rijden met oude olie in het blok en kreeg jaarlijks een beurt bij een andere Porsche specialist. Verder groot onderhoud dat in de afgelopen 50.000 kilometer is uitgevoerd zijn de motorsteunen, de automaat is gespoeld, er is een nieuwe radiator gemonteerd en een nieuwe hardyschijf gemonteerd in de vierwielaandrijving. Tijdens het rijden is direct te merken dat het hier een zeer fit exemplaar betreft. Piepjes en kraakjes schitteren door afwezigheid en de auto voelt heerlijk strak aan. De motor is topfit en loopt fantastisch door het volledige toerenbereik. De tiptronic kunt u zelf bedienen middels knoppen op het stuur of de automaat kan voor u schakelen door hem gewoon in Drive te laten staan. De remmen zijn afkomstig van de Turbo en dus ruim meer dan voldoende krachtig om de Porsche te vertragen. De combinatie van de grote remmen en het brede rubber zorgen dat u met een heerlijk zeker gevoel de snelheid die u even daarvoor hebt opgebouwd net zo makkelijk weer af kunt schudden. Het is een waar genot om met deze Porsche 911 te rijden. De motor levert 320 pk en kan deze auto van 0-100 laten accelereren in 5,5 seconden de topsnelheid ligt op 280 kilometer per uur. Ook naar hedendaagse maatstaven zeer indrukwekkende prestaties.
De Porsche 996 wordt alom steeds beter op waarde geschat en is een auto die alles kan. Mocht u er voor kiezen de auto dagelijks te gebruiken dan zult u niet teleur worden gesteld. De overzichtelijkheid is top, de auto is gebouwd als een huis en het rijgedrag is heerlijk. Mocht u besluiten de auto alleen met mooi weer en tijden speciale gelegenheden naar buiten te halen dan zou dit ook een uitstekende keuze zijn. De waardes van de 996 Carrera 4S hebben de laatste jaren al een indrukwekkend stijgend patroon laten zien en voor nu is er geen enkele reden om aan te nemen dat aan die trend snel een eind komt. De auto is vanaf nieuw zeer goed gedocumenteerd, zo zijn de originele boekjes aanwezig, facturen van het onderhoud en de originele papieren. Kortom: een fantastische Porsche 996 Carrera 4S in misschien wel de mooiste kleurencombinatie. Zoals de Duitsers de conditie zelf zo mooi weten te omschrijven: “traumzustand”.
