Model history

In the way that most racing drivers develop their skills from kart racing, brothers Gianfranco and Luciano Pederzani took their fledgling engineering business from hydraulic pump manufacture into construction of go-karts and then quickly on to single seater racing.

By 1966 they were producing Formula 3 chassis and a year later Clay Regazzioni, Mauro Nesti and Tino Brambilla all began to return good results, which were endorsed the following year with wins in the Italian, French and Swedish Championships for Franco Bernabei, François Cevert and Reine Wisell respectably.

1968 also saw Tecno adapt their chassis to F2 regulations for Regazzioni and Carlo Facetti to compete in the European championship. This next stage produced the F2 title for Regazzioni in 1970, and continuous successes in F3.

Specific history of this car

The car we offer for sale was purchased at public auction by the present owner….

It is understood to have been raced in period for the works by François Cevert and later by Patric Behar.

In the current ownership the car has been totally refurbished by Frank Lyons. Cosmetically the car is in excellent order.

It was last used in the Derek Bell Trophy at the H.S.C.C. Silverstone Classic, and G.P. de l'Age d'Or in 2005.
