If we study the purchase invoice, we see that this is a Ford Mustang Cabriolet that is executed in the beautiful color Emberglo and is equipped with an electrically operated soft top, 14 inch tires, a radio, windscreen wipers with 2 speeds, undercoating and transport to the dealer. . The total price for the car came to a whopping 3097.61 cents. unbelievable. What is even more unbelievable is that this is a one-owner car. The lady that bought it new is the sole custodian of this very unique Ford Mustang.
It should come as no surprise that the car has always been cared for down to the last detail. The Mustang is therefore still in very good and original condition. The paint has been repainted once for cosmetic reasons and still looks good. The convertible top has already been replaced by one in the same color but the car is still on the original wheels. The hood fits well everywhere and can be operated smoothly. The body is in good condition and has beautiful thin sheet metal.

Het betreft hier een hele fraaie Ford Mustang Cabriolet uit 1966 die is uitgevoerd met de geliefde handgeschakelde transmissie. De auto is afkomstig uit Florida en wordt geleverd inclusief de originele aankoopnota! Uniek! Als we de aankoopnota bestuderen zien we dat het hier een Ford Mustang Cabriolet betreft die is uitgevoerd in de prachtige kleur Emberglo en is voorzien van een elektrisch bedienbare softtop, 14 inch banden, een radio, ruitenwissers met 2 snelheden, undercoating en transport naar de dealer. De totale prijs voor de auto kwam uit op maar liefst 3097,61 cent. Ongelooflijk. Wat eigenlijk nog meer ongelooflijk is is het feit dat de dame die de auto nieuw heeft gekocht tot nu toe de enige eigenaresse is geweest.
Dat de auto altijd tot in de puntjes is verzorgd kan niet als een verrassing komen. De Mustang verkeert dan ook nog steeds in zeer goede en originele conditie. De lak is omwille van cosmetische redenen een keer opnieuw gespoten en ziet er nog steeds goed uit. De cabrioletkap is al eens vervangen door een exemplaar in dezelfde kleur maar de auto staat nog altijd op de originele wielen. De kap sluit overal goed aan en laat zich soepel bedienen. De carrosserie verkeert in goede staat en is voorzien van fraai dun plaatwerk.
Het interieur is bekleed met fraaie bruine tapijten en bruin en beige vinyl op de stoelen. Ook het dashboard is zeer origineel en alle instrumenten en bedieningselementen functioneren zoals het hoort. De nieuw bestelde radio is vanzelfsprekend nog steeds aanwezig. Wat verder opvalt is dat het hier een Mustang betreft met de zeer geliefde handgeschakelde transmissie met drie versnellingen. Schakelen is daardoor een feest en gaat sneller dan de toenmalige automaten dat konden.
De techniek is door de jaren heen zeer goed onderhouden. De auto heeft nog maar 54.000 mijl op de teller staan en afgegaan op de staat van de auto moeten we haast wel concluderen dat dit naar alle waarschijnlijkheid de originele mijlenstand is. De 289 Cubic Inch V8 is in zeer goede staat verkerend en nog altijd topfit. De motor levert 200pk en maakt dat de Mustang absoluut adequaat is gemotoriseerd. De remmen en het onderstel zijn door de jaren heen zeer goed onderhouden en dragen bij aan het rijplezier van deze Ford Mustang. De Ford Mustang is geen auto om mee te racen maar blinkt uit in het ontspannen afleggen van grote afstanden.
Kortom een zeer aantrekkelijke Ford Mustang die wordt geleverd inclusief de originele aankoopnota. We zien maar zelden dat zo’n fraai document bijna 60 jaar bij de auto bewaard blijft en dat zegt veel over hoe er in het verleden met deze auto is omgegaan.
