"The Grand National looked bad to the bone. Most were black, with blackout trim. The interior was finished in a plethora of gray tones, including special fabrics on the Lear seats. The instrumentation was rudimentary, but at least Buick understood the need to add a tach and a boost gauge. Naturally, the suspension got stiffer springs and anti-roll bars, plus "large" radials on special aluminum wheels.
