This is a very nice and good driving 1966 Jaguar Mk II 3.4, with automatic transmission. At the time, the Jaguar Mk II was one of the sportiest saloons you could buy, with 210 hp and a top speed of 195 km/h, this 3.4 was a real sports sedan. A 'Mark two' is still a pleasure to drive and in this case also friendly to the wallet, with an LPG installation on board.
This stylish saloon is finished in beautiful dark blue metallic paint. It gives the car a sporty and chic look, especially in combination with the attractive warm red leather interior. A combination that appeals to the imagination.
The car came to the Netherlands in the mid-1990s and has already been thoroughly restored. It ensures that the car is in extremely healthy and beautiful condition. The paint is beautiful, the closures and seams are even and all details such as chrome and rubbers are in a beautiful condition. As it should be, the jaguar is all around on characteristic wire wheels.
The interior also exudes the same class. The red leather upholstery has only minimal traces of use, and the glossy wooden dashboard and all counters and controls are free of that. There is in fact nothing to criticize about this car, at most you will probably drive a few more kilometres with it than initially thought.
This smooth-shifting automatic transmission is very good and comfortable to drive. And fast, don't forget. The 3.4-litre six-cylinder packs up nicely and all that on LPG, making the running costs more economical than you might think.

Het betreft hier een hele fraaie en goed rijdende Jaguar Mk II 3.4 uit 1966, met automatische transmissie. In die tijd was de Jaguar Mk II één van de meest sportieve saloons die je kon kopen, met 210 pk en een topsnelheid van 195 km/u was deze 3.4 een echte sportsedan. Nog altijd is een 'Mark two' een genot om te rijden en in dit geval ook nog eens vriendelijk voor de portemonnee, met een lpg-installatie aan boord.
Deze stijlvolle saloon is uitgevoerd in een prachtige donkerblauwe metallic-lak. Het geeft de auto een zowel sportieve als ook chique uitstraling, helemaal in combinatie met het sfeervolle warmrood lederen interieur. Een combinatie die tot de verbeelding spreekt.
De auto is midden jaren '90 naar Nederland gekomen en al eens zeer grondig gerestaureerd. Het zorgt ervoor dat de auto er in een uitermate gezonde en mooie conditie bij staat. De lak is prachtig, de sluitingen en naden mooi gelijk en alle details zoals chroomwerk en rubbers verkeren in een mooie conditie. Zoals het hoort staat de jaguar rondom op de kenmerkende spaakwielen.
Ook het interieur ademt diezelfde klasse. De roodlederen bekleding heeft slechts minimale gebruikssporen, het glanzend houten dashboard en alle tellers en bedieningselementen zijn daar vrij van. Er is feitelijk niets aan te merken op deze auto, hooguit dat u er wellicht wat meer kilometers mee zult rijden dan aanvankelijk gedacht.
Rijden doet deze soepel schakelende automaat namelijk erg goed en comfortabel. En vlot, niet te vergeten. De 3,4 liter zescilinder pakt mooi op en dat alles op LPG, waardoor de gebruikskosten voordeliger uitpakken dan u wellicht zou denken.
Een Jaguar Mk II zoals deze graag gezien wordt dus. Hoewel u er niet vaak naar zult kijken verkeert ook de bodem in een gezonde conditie, net als de dorpels. Foto's ervan vindt u in onze fotogalerij.
