Curtiss Frazer-Nash – a very special pre-war street legal race car powered by a Curtiss OX-5 aircraft engine mounted in a Frazer-Nash chassis including chain driven transmission.

This car is a unique creation - already when approaching this vehicle you can guess what is behind it or just inside it. The sight of the 8.2 liter aircraft engine makes the heart beat faster, the grin on the face when starting the car is hard to imagine without, thundering through the curve - visually as well as acoustically, an absolute pleasure for all senses.

The Curtiss OX-5 was the most important and successful American aircraft engine of the First World War. It was the first mass-produced aircraft engine in the United States, launched in 1915 and used in various capacities throughout the war. More than 6,800 Curtiss JN-4 'Jenny' biplanes with OX-5 engines were delivered. The water-cooled 503 cubic inch (8.2 liter) engine weighed 390 pounds (177 kg), produced 91 hp and a whopping 450 Nm! The exposed rocker arms are a distinctive feature, allowing components to be observed while the engine is running.

Frazer Nash was an English manufacturer of sports cars and Formula 1 cars, founded in 1924 by Archibald Frazer Nash as a successor to his automobile company G.N., and achieved success in international racing until 1951, as well as being active with its own car manufacturing until 1957.
