Introduced in 1973 with a total factory production of just 525 the 4.4 litre V12 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 was the forerunner of the successful 400 and 412 series coupés'. It was once again an attempt by Ferrari to compete in the world market for luxury grand touring cars as they had done with the earlier 300 series cars in the mid 1960's. The car was an instant success as its blend of sharp lines and aggressive 70's styling by Pinin Farina combined fine looks in a convenient and spacious 2+2 body shell, making this an ideal European or trans American tourer. Its appeal perhaps enhanced by the fact that it was offered with manual transmission, making it more of a drivers car that the equivalent automatic GT cars of the same era.

This particular car has been with the current owner for the last six years where it has been maintained to a very high standard. Included with the car are bills totalling over £36,000 from 1990 alone. The car has only covered 47,000 miles from new and as you would expect with so much care and attention the car is described by the vendor to be in excellent condition. The dark blue paint work and the contrasting cream leather interior, arguably the best colour combination, are in excellent order with the air conditioning in good fettle which has been recently overhauled. The car is supplied with a substantial history file contained in the cars own bound folio and a current MoT valid until February 2008. Perhaps one of the nicest examples on the market and a classic that is becoming much appreciated amongst collectors.
