| Designed and created with the vision of mating a 1963 Corvette split window coupe with the exotic 32 valve DOHC LT5 ZR1 V-8
- Project managed by and all paint and assembly completed by GTS Customs of Simi Valley, California
- The heart of this car is the drivetrain. The engine was built by the late John Lingenfelter of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, Decatur, Indiana
- Modifications incorporated by Lingenfelter to enhance the performance of this DOHC LT5 engine were:
- Displacement increased from 350 CI to 368 CI
- Installed Iron sleeves to improve cylinder sealing and provide rigidity within the block
- Installed JE billet forged pistons
- Oliver Billet Forged connecting rods utilized
- Ported and polished cylinder heads, 3-angle valve seats and installed titanium valve retainers
- Ported and polished the plenum and injector housings to match the heads
- Degreed the cam shafts for maximum performance
- These enhancements to the engine increased horsepower 40% to 530 HP and 25% increase in torque to 460 lb-ft
- A Centerforce twin disc clutch enclosed in QuickTime steel bellhousing transfers the power
- Custom Tremec T-56, 6 speed transmission, by G-Force of Cleona, Pennsylvania provides custom 2.98 low gear for easy starts and .73 sixth gear for comfortable cruising. The transmission was built to withstand 1000 HP and 900 lb-ft of torque.
- Pro 5.0 short throw shifter
- Differential is based on a Corvette Dana 44 ring and pinion, 3.54 ratio, Eaton Truetrac differential, housed in a custom, high strength, Newman CarCreations differential housing.
- The chassis, the backbone of the car, was completed by Newman CarCreations utilizing a modified C2 Corvette frame and C4 Corvette components to provide a rigid and high strength frame.
- C4 Corvette rack and pinion power steering utilized
- C4 Corvette front suspension
- Rear suspension utilizes C4 Corvette components plus GTS Customs designed cantilever coil over
- All shocks are Ridetech, with rear shocks coil over, multi adjustable
- Brake System utilizes Corvette C6 Z06 braking system, 6 piston Calipers, 14" cross drilled rotors
- Baer adjustable master cylinder
- Forgeline Heritage RS6 forged alloy wheels, 19x10-inch front and 19x11-inch rear wheels
- Forgeline Centerlock knock-off wheel system utilized
- Michelin Pilot Sport 255/30-ZR19 front and 325/30-ZR19 rear tires
- The interior was designed in keeping with a stock appearing theme, but with slight enhancements
- Upgraded Saddle Tan leather used throughout
- Leather was used to cover seats, dash-pads, door panels, rear interior and kick panels, plus window moldings and steering wheel
- Stock C2 Corvette seats finished in 1963 Corvette pattern, incorporating 1967 Corvette-style headrests
- Stock restored 1963 Corvette seat belts
- German Square Weave carpet by Relicate of Johnstown, NY trimmed in leather, matching floor mats
- Headliner is done in Versa Weave fabric, also by Relicate
- The audio system utilizes a stock appearing, but updated radio that is Bluetooth and satellite capable
- An Alpine KTA 450 four channel Power Pac amp drives the audio system
- Two Infinity Reference speakers in the front and two Nakamichi 1000w subwoofers in the rear
- GTS Customs painted the exterior in Mercedes-Benz Arctic White
- GTS installed 1-inch wider rear quarter panels
- A unique custom air dam under the front grill area provides additional cool air for the engine
- Vapor Worx PWM Fuel System including module/controller/fuel pump
- Rick's Stainless Works custom gas tank
- The exhaust system was designed and fabricated by Maxwell Industries, Ventura California, utilizing Stainless Works headers, Magnaflow mufflers, utilizing stainless material and heat wrap, providing a moderate tone
- American Autowire system was utilized to wire the car, utilizing easy accessible ATC fuse block and high grade GXL color coded and individual function labeled wire
- Be Cool Radiator with two 8-inch fans pulling air and two 12-inch fans pushing air, keeping engine cool
- Vintage Air Gen IV air conditioning system
- Detroit Speed Selector windshield wiper system
- Detroit Speed enhanced electric headlight door system
- Power windows
- Electronic parking brake
- Vehicle power cut off switch, located in drivers compartment, provides safety and security
- Stainless steel fasteners used in most applications
- This vehicle was completed in August 2023
- Since then, it has been driven 500 test miles to ensure that the vehicle operates and functions correctly
