The Jaguar XK 120 Autenrieth Cabrio is more than just a historic vehicle: it is a unique piece of German-British automotive history. But 'unique' is not an empty term: such a car exists and has only existed once.
After the war, the car body company Autenrieth from Darmstadt concentrated mainly on the conversion of BMW vehicles. Nevertheless, the company was happy to accept the assignment from the Frankfurt lawyer and manufacturer Wilhelm Eckerlin - after all, it concerned the expansion of a vehicle that was already very special at the time. The Jaguar Two highly specialized professionals built the car. The XK120 therefore became one of the most expensive cars of that time
In the years and decades that followed, the XK 120 Autenrieth Cabrio had a number of very different owners, a lot of attention and almost complete neglect.
The XK120 Autenrieth now shown here is still in beautiful condition after two restorations. During the last restoration the original engine was placed in the chassis again. So this is a very special Jaguar XK 120 of which only one exists. So for the absolute Jaguar enthusiast, this is a Must Have!

De Jaguar XK 120 Autenrieth Cabrio is meer dan alleen een historisch voertuig: het is een uniek stukje Duits-Britse autogeschiedenis. Maar ‘uniek’ is geen loze term: zo’n auto bestaat en heeft maar één keer bestaan.
Na de oorlog concentreerde autocarrosseriebedrijf Autenrieth uit Darmstadt zich vooral op de ombouw van BMW-voertuigen. Toch nam het bedrijf de opdracht van de Frankfurtse advocaat en fabrikant Wilhelm Eckerlin graag aan - het betrof immers de uitbreiding van een voertuig dat destijds al heel bijzonder was. De Jaguar XK 120, toen een van de snelste auto's van de wereld,ging van Engeland naar de Darmstadt en werd daar zeer uitvoering omgebouwd. Twee hooggespecialiseerde vakmensen bouwden de auto op. De XK120 werd daarmee een van de duurste auto uit die tijd
In de jaren en decennia die volgden kende de XK 120 Autenrieth Cabrio een aantal zeer verschillende eigenaren, veel aandacht en vrijwel volledige verwaarlozing.
De XK120 Autenrieth die hier nu wordt getoond is nog steeds na twee restauraties nog in prachtige staat. Bij de laatste restuaratie werd ook weer de originele motor in het chassis is geplaatst. Dit is dus een zeer bijzondere Jaguar XK 120 waarvan er maar één bestaat. Dus voor de absolute Jaguarliefhebber is dit een Must Have!

Metropole is uniek , het is 30000m2 automotive experience, met meer dan 400 auto,s en vrachtwagens. Het museum is alleen geopend op zaterdag van 09:00 tot 15:00. De showroom is geopend van woensdag tot en met vrijdag van 10:00 tot 17:00, zaterdags van 09.00 uur tot 16.00 uur. Wij zitten 25 km van de Duitse grens en zijn heel gemakkelijk bereikbaar via de snelweg.
We kunnen ook transport voor de auto regelen over de hele wereld.---------------

Metropole ist einzigartig, es ist ein 30.000 m² großes Automobilerlebnis mit mehr als 400 Autos und Lastwagen. Das Museum ist nur samstags von 09:00 bis 15:00 Uhr geöffnet. Der Showroom ist von Mittwoch bis Freitag von 10:00 bis 17:00 Uhr geöffnet, sammstags von 09.00 uhr bis 16.00 uhr.. Wir befinden uns 25 km von der deutschen Grenze entfernt und sind sehr gut über die Autobahn zu erreichen.
Wir können auch den Transport des Autos in die ganze Welt arrangieren. -----------

The showroom is open from Wednesday to friday from 10:00 to 17:00 and saturday from 09.00 hour til 16.00 hour.. We are located 25 km from the German border and are very easily accessible by motorway.
We can also arrange transportation for the car all over the world.----------
