| White with Blue racing stripes with Blue leather, 2,000 miles from new, 4-speed manual gearbox, One-owner from new.
This D-type recreation is an exact replica of the famed Brigg Cunningham XKD-525R, it has affectionately been known as “Casper” by its previous Canadian owner-collector. The donor car is a 1964 E-type and thus this recreation is registered as a 1964 model. It is a superb all-alloy rebody of the legendary racing Jaguar that dominated sports car racing in the 50's. A close inspection by the knowledgeable will reveal the quality of the workmanship, it is an accurate presentation of a short nose D-Type.
It is powered by a 3.8 liter engine with D-type cam profiles, three Weber carbs. It has alloy peg drive knock-off wheels, competition legal fuel cell and completely adjustable suspension.
This Tempero D-type has been shown in the following Jaguar Club of North America concours…
• Jaguar Clubs of North America Concours d'Elegance June 2004, 99.59 Points
• Jaguar Clubs of North America Concours d'Elegance June 2005, 98.1 Points
This Tempero recreation has recently been fully serviced and is currently in need of nothing to be used and enjoyed immediately.
Offered for a fraction of an original, this D-type can be vintage raced, used for vintage tours and is as happy on the street.
