Ford GT/40 This is a 1966 Ford GT/40 MK II, 7-liter, one of thirteen built. The MK II GT/40 provided the first win for Ford Motor Company at LeMans in 1966. Three MK II 7-liter GT/40 Fords crossed the finish line simultaneously at the end of 24 hours. This car was present at LeMans in 1966. This is one of the original thirteen cars and remains in unrestored, but excellent running and driving condition, with original body work and paint. It is one of three of the original thirteen that is known as an Alan Mann Lightweight as it was built with an aluminum clad (not steel) upper monocoque. The car also comes with its original Certificate of Origin from Ford Motor Company and has a well known provenance including being featured by Ford in their Autolite Spark Plug advertising of the period. It yet retains its original tachometer correction detail tag installed by Ford on all the LeMans 1966 MK IIs.
