For the last 25 years the car has been fully serviced and looked after by P&A wood for its last owner a Doctor Nasmuring, a long time multiple Bentley owner and BDC member. The currect owner purchared UOO1 from Paul Wood at P&A Wood in June 2006. He used it for some commuting, and several long distance trips to the Goodwood revival, Yorkshire and South Wales. UOO1 has never let him down.

The build sheets are included within a massive history file showing all expenditure and invoices. The well known international car dealer Daniel Donavan (ex Straight Eight) sold UOO1 in the past and can remember the original long term lady owner if you want to research the history even more. In the last few years the engine and mechanicals were rebuilt by P&A Wood together with a huge amount of very detailed scheduled maintenance enabling total reliability.

In the last three years it have undertaken a Full restoration comprising of:

Stripping the body down to bare metal, lead loaded and all hood and internal woodwork replaced. One of the top painters in the UK, Phil Whitwell, undertook the paintwork which was finished with the application of 12 coats of 2 pack paint in the original Steel Blue. The chassis was stripped and absolutely no rust was found, just electrolyte corrosion between the aluminium and metal joints. Underneath everything has been carefully waxoyled as per factory finish to ensure it stays rust free and original. All five wheels were removed, stripped and repainted. UOO1 has never been used in winter months and has been stored in the owners air conditioned heated facility. All woodwork has been repolished and gauges refurbished.

Chrome work was stripped and re-plated where necessary and refitted correctly with ancillary seals. All rubber trim and all parts purchased through Bentley UK. There are photos to confirm all work undertaken and contacts of the painter and trimmer for the new owner’s piece of mind and to continue the history. An automatic Kenlowe cooling fan is fitted so the engine runs correctly.

A new interior was made and trimmed by Bob Smith (best classic Bentley and RR trimmer currently working) in special reproduced Connelly specification leather as per the original colour together with cream Wilton carpets and over mats edged in leather including the boot. All tools were refurbished as necessary. A new ever flex electric hood was fitted also by Bob Smith with the correct West of England Cloth headlining and horsehair internals.

All mechanical parts were serviced, rebuilt, renewed or refurbished to as new condition.

Included in the sale is the original stereo with discreet iPod adapter and electrical ariel, a full set of tools, an original handbook, an air pump, 5x new Kumho 235/75/15T white wall tyres just fitted ,and a tailored new waterproof breathable Euro 600 car cover in dark blue with bag. UOO1 was serviced by specialists January 2010. Two ring binders of history and receipts accompany UOO1

As a result of all this work UOO1 was entered into the Bentley Drivers Club 2009 Concours in Rousham and won the best restoration. The BDC cup is coming with the car.
