Specifications: 300bhp 3,967cc single overhead camshaft V-12 engine with Weber carburetors, five-speed manual gearbox, four-wheel independent suspension, and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes. Wheelbase: 2,650mm (104.5")

The 330 GT 2+2 was a successful model for Ferrari, as it allowed owners to comfortably travel at high speed with more than one passenger and luggage. In many respects, the car defined the term “ Grand Touring ” .

The final evolution of the 330 GT, known as the Series II, included a redesigned and more traditional two headlight front end. For the first time, Ferrari offered air-conditioning and power steering as options on the Series II cars. Both were excellent systems and added to the comfort and usability of the cars. At the same time, increasing weight lead to a decision to make alloy wheels standard – though the RW 3812 Borrani wire wheels remained optional. A total of 460 examples (423 LHD, 37 RHD) of this Series II model were made with the serial numbers running from 7553 to 10193.

The example presented here is beautifully finished in gray with a black leather interior. 8663 was the subject of a comprehensive restoration in 2000 and the vendor reports that it remains in excellent overall condition both cosmetically and mechanically. When 8663 was submitted for restoration, a full inspection of the body was carried out and no previous accident damage was found.

8663 has remained in Europe since it was originally delivered new in Switzerland. It is complete with a full set of tools, as well as the appropriate service and owner ’ s manuals, although we recommend you inspect these items prior to bidding. A recent review of the build data revealed that 8663 was finished in “ Grigio Argento ” with a blue leather interior, a central cushion between the seats, power windows and a special order black Formica dash.

An excellent example, 8663 has benefited from a comprehensive restoration, and with a recent service by Ferrari Classiche, it is ready once again for elegant touring use.
