During a time of constant motorcycle innovation, Harley-Davidson, already the world’s largest motorbike manufacturer, chose to evolve the company’s earlier Model J into the Model WJ. This example, dated from 1923, has been treated to a complete restoration adhering firmly to original specifications. It has been painted in a gloss Brewster Green with gold pin striping and red Harley-Davidson insignias.

Inspection of the sidecar reveals that it was restored at a later time than the rest of the motorcycle, and accordingly the quality of finish is noticeably better. Although showing limited signs of age, the Harley-Davidson is in running condition; given a little attention it could become a fine riding example or an outstanding showpiece. Nevertheless, this very unique motorcycle from a fascinating era would make an excellent purchase for any motorcycle enthusiast.
