The Ford Model T was produced from 1908 through 1927. The model T set 1908 as the historic year that the automobile came into popular usage. It is generally regarded as the first affordable automobile, and the car which ``put America on wheels``. The Model T represented major innovations for Ford, including assembly line production instead of individual hand crafting, as well as the concept of paying the workers a wage proportionate to the cost of the car. Indeed, the assembly line process was so streamline that the building of each car took just 93 minutes! Contrary to popular belief, the Model T was offered in colors other than black between 1908 and 1914, and again from 1926-1927. Much of the Model Ts success is owed to its favorable price tag, which had fallen to just over $300 by 1920. In total, more than 15 million Model Ts were manufactured, more than any other model of automobile for almost a century.

This particular car has been in California for many years and was subject to an inclusive restoration to original specifications very few miles ago. Today the car is best described as a charming `driver`, which could be showed after a comprehensive detail.

The car was repainted in dark green with black fenders, which may well have been its original color scheme. The body is extremely straight, and appears totally rust free. The paint work was of high quality, but the car has weathered moderately. The wheels, frame, suspension, differential, and brakes, were all painted black as part of the restoration. The interior and exterior chrome was all redone, and overall the car has a tidy and proud look.

The interior was also restored. The seats and door panel upholstery was redone, and new floor mats were sourced. The dash was repainted, and the car looks to have been fitted with a new vinyl top over a restored top frame.

The engine bay has seen moderate restoration work, all correct to original specifications. The underside was also restored, included the replacement of the wood floor board panels.

Further details regarding the restoration, specifically what mechanical items were included and who did work, is not known.

Although challenging to drive, the car operates as it should. All the mechanisms, including the high and low speed Rexall differential, are fully functional. While this is not likely to be a daily driver, it would make a charming estate car, and will likely bring the new owner much motoring enjoyment.
