Ford Ford keeps a 77 Mio. US-Dollar share in Aston Martin which was founded in 1914 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. The transaction is expected to be finalized in the 2nd quarter 2007.

Ford bought the full ownership in 1994. Aston Martin had just sold 46 cars in 1992. A record breaking 7,000 Aston Martins were sold in 2006. The DBS production will start later this year joining the DB9 and V8 Vantage models.

David Richards is the Chairman of Prodrive a automotive technology and racing company, together with Ari Vatanen Richards won the 1981 Rally World Championship driving a Ford Escort, Investment Dar and Addem Investment are Kuwait based companies, John Sinders is an Aston Martin collector.

Aston Martin achived world fame with the James Bond movies. In 1964 Sean Connery exchanged in "Goldfinger" his Bentley for an Aston Martin DB4 and Daniel Craig drove an Aston Martin in "Casino Royale".
