In October 1952 the Ferrari 250 Mille Miglia was displayed at the Paris Motor Show, it was derived from the one-off model 250 S s/n 0156ET which won the Mille Miglia in 1952 and replaced the Ferrari 225 S, again the engine displacement was increased and produced 240 bhp at 7200 rpm, the gearbox was now synchronized. With Pinin Farina a new bodybuilder was introduced und should become in the long run the main design partner of Ferrari.

The movie director Roberto Rosselini took delivery of his 250 MM Vignale Series I Spyder s/n 0230MM and entered the car in the 1953 Mille Miglia with Aldo Tonti, during a trip to Sweden the car was raced at the Skarpnäck Airfield near Stockholm, in 1955 the Vignale boy was replaced by a Scaglietti produced body, today 0230MM is displayed at the Schlumpf Museum in Mulhouse.

Franco Rol raced the blue metallic 0250MM in the Giro di Sicilia and crashed it, Pinin Farina received the car for repair. In 1954 Salvatore Ammendola achieved several podium finishes in important hillclimbs. In 1992 DK Engineering restored the 250 MM PF Berlinetta.

0252MM was a PF Berlinetta used for the official press photos, Dr. Caraceni the 1952 Italian hillclimb champion with 0170ET, is show as the 1st owner, in 1954 it was raced by well known Camillo Luglio in Italian events. Then it moved to Sweden where it had a couple of 2nd IC finishes. In 1957 the car was involved in a crash and is still in inoperative condition with the same owner since 1956.



The 250 MM 0254MM was a PF Berlinetta and was delivered to Count Paolo Marzotto, and was raced without success in the Giro di Sicilia and the Mille Miglia, after it was severely damaged in the Mille Miglia by a engine fire, it was rebuild by Pinin Farina. In 1956 Hans Wirz from Zuerich owned the Berlinetta and archived many 1st IC results in Swiss hillclimbs, also the La Rochette hillclimb on July 20 1958, but after the finish line it hit a tree caught fire. Gilles Cassani bought the burned car.

0256MM was another PF Berlinetta, it was a Scuderia Ferrari entry in the 1953 Mille Miglia driven by last year winner Giovanni Bracco, also in the Targa Florio it did not finish. The 1st owner was Eugenio Castellotti, he raced it during 1953 in many Italian hillclimbs, before it was sold to Argentina. Rodriguez Larreta won several races with the PF Berlinetta.

0258MM was also bodied by PF as Berlinetta Count Sterzi was the 1st owner. He entered the Ferrari in the 1953 Mille Miglia. Two month later Luigi Villoresi won the GP dell' Autodromo Monza, and in August Bruno Sterzi finished together with Franco Cornacchia the 12h Pescara race in 3rd position. In late 1956 George Arents bought it via Luigi Chinetti and raced in the Nassau Speed Week.

0260MM is a very special 250 MM with Series I Vignale Spyder bodywork, it was owned by the later F1 World Champion Phil Hill, it was displayed at the International Motor Sport Show in NY, before Phil Hill won several races with 0260MM.

0270MM was a PF Berlinetta and was sold to Mario Piazza, his wife Bianca Maria raced the car. Today it is owned by Italian industrialist and race enthusiast Giuseppe Lucchini.

0274MM was the 1st Vignale Series II Spyder with a two tone paint scheme, it was owned and raced by Commendatore Piero Scotti, before it was sold via Playboy Porfirio Rubirosa to Chico Landi in Sao Paolo Brazil who raced it in 1954. In 90 it was restored by DK Engineering.

0276MM was a 250 MM PF Berlinetta, raced in by Franco Cornacchia, later rebodied by Morelli as Spyder and raced by Luigi Piotti who finished 4th in the 1954 MM with Clemente Biondetti on July 24th the identity of 0330MM and 0276MM was swapped when on car came from brazil to Italy and the Italian car went to the USA.

0282MM was a Vignale Spyder it was a Scuderia Ferrari race car Paolo Marzotto won the Coppa d'Oro delle Dolomiti, it was sold to Luigi Chinetti in Paris entered in a couple of French races and is a MIA.

0288MM was a Vignale Spyder used by the Scuderia Ferrari at team car in several races, before sold to Joao Gaspar of Portugal, in 1954 it was exported to South America.

0292MM was delivered as 250 MM PF Berlinetta and renumbered 0239EU, it finished the 1953 Carrera Panamericana in 7th OA position.

0296AM was delivered to Pietro Palmeri with Vignale Spyder bodywork, after several did not finish results, the car was sold to Inico Berabei, in his hands the Vignale Spyder archived some good results, after a crash in 1956 the car was "rebuild" by Scaglietti and the Vignale body was replaced by a Tour de France 14 louvre body. In 1990 the bodywork was replaced by an original Vignale Spyder body.

0298MM was delivered as PF Berlinetta and was used for the transportation of movie stars in Rome. In 1959 Hans Wirz owned the car after his other 250 MM was damaged in a fire, Wirz raced 0298MM in Swiss hillclimbs. It has an unusual nose.

0310MM is another PF Berlinetta, raced by Pierre Noblet in France, after his active career it spend 30 years in the Collection of Giulio Dubbini.

The PF Berlinetta 0312MM was sold to the Bill Devin, California and was entered in 1953 in the West Coast races. Since 1988 the car is displayed in Fabrizio Violatis Maranello Rosso Museum.

The PF Berlinetta bodied 250 MM 0316MM was sold to Mounteflour in Milano.

0326MM was delivered with Vignale Spyder Series II bodywork and entered by the Scuderia Ferrari with Mike Hawthorn in the 1953 Mille Miglia and sold on to Portuguese de Fronteira who raced it in 1953 and 1954. In 1955 is was sold to Barreto he also raced the car in Portugal. In 1977 it received new bodywork of the same style.

0330MM started life as a 250 MM Vignale Spyder and was sold to Jose Arroyo Nogueria Pinto, who raced it in Portugal, Italy and Brazil. where the car stayed after the Brazilian race with Marques, after races in Brazil the car came to the GP Portugal was renumbered 0276MM. 0276MM was stamped 0330MM at the same occasion.

0332AM was also a Vignale Series II Spyder and was sold also to Portugal via Joao Gaspar the Portuguese Ferrari importer. Casimirio de Oliveira, Felipe Nogueira and Branco Castro race the Spyder in Portugal until 1955.

0334MM was the only Vignale bodies 250 MM Berlinetta it was sold to Karl Lanz in Bern, Switzerland, the next owner Peter Monteverdi raced the car in 1956.

The Vignale Spyder 0336MM was sold to Alfred Momo (Briggs Cunningham's technician), New York, and was raced by Bruce Kessler and William Greenspun, since 1981 the car belongs to the Collection of Anthony Wang and is painted dark blue.

0338MM was a PF Berlinetta Prince Saddrudin Aga Khan for Nina Dyer, in the 1960's the car was donated to the Le Mans Museum.

0340MM was a PF Berlinetta sold to Rome and raced by Vittori Colucci, in 1964 the car was with 100,000km with Roger Ellis, Reno who was part of the Harrah organization.

0344MM was sold as PF Berlinetta to Sweden and raced by Persson and Lohmander, today it belongs to the Collection of Emilio Gnutti.

The Vignale Spyder 0348MM was sold to Alfred Momo (Briggs Cunningham's technician), New York, it was raced in 1954 by Phil Walters and John Fitch before being sold to Rich Lyeth, who raced it until September 1955 and then sold it to Paul Montcastle, then the car went thru the hands of Ken Hutchison, Bill Jacobs, Erich Traber, David Sydorick, Mike Leventhal, Victor Muller (of Spyker fame) and is now being raced again by Manny del Arroz.

0352MM was a PF Berlinetta delivered to Gerino Gerini it was raced in the Mille Miglia and after the Trofeo Sardo which was won by Gerini, the 250 MM was owned by Lorenzo Zambrano and since 2011 Nick Mason is taking care.

0354MM was PF Berlinetta and sold to Giovanni Vaccari

0356MM was a PF Berlinetta and sold to Luigi Bertett, President Italian Automobile Club

0390MM was sold to Marquis Alfonso de Portago and was raced in the 1000km Buenos Aires race and finished 2nd OA, it also started in the 12h Sebring race but did not finish.
