Valentino Balboni Test Drives 1980 Lamborghini Countach

Long time Lamborghini test driver Valentino Balboni was reunited with the 1980 Lamborghini Countach Low Body Twin Turbo #1160 during a specially arranged media event at the 2018 Miami Design District Concours.

Balboni demonstrated the correct way to back up the Countach for the cameras in Italian and then departing the Miami Design District in the Countach with cameraman Albert Manduca rolling video from the passenger seat and John Temerian, Jr. behind the wheel of the Lou La Vie Lamborghini Huracan in close pursuit.

Winding out of the Design District and out onto I-95 where speeds gradually grew close to the legal limit (a-hem) with Balboni slicing through traffic and clearly enjoying being reunited with the Countach after over thirty years which he described as, “A very exciting car!” in classic understatement while exiting I-95 and onto I-195 heading east.

The all too short drive culminated at the Curated showroom, which Balboni clearly enjoyed before departing back to Italy.
