At COTA over the F1 weekend and at the past WEC event,  F4 came and conquered the 20 turn track in Austin TX.

Saturday, October 21, 2017:   #24 Danish driver Benjamin Pedersen of Globe Racing Group has won the last 2 races there, and Saturday was no different. The Dane, starting second, and next to the 2017 series champion #8  Kyle M. Kirtwood from Juniper, Fl. , Benjamin was third at Turn One and going into Turn Two passing  #86 Brendon Leithch of Kiwi Motorsport. After staying in this order 3/4 of the race, it was time for the Globe Racing Group driver to race Kirtwood clean, and make the pass on the outside of Turn Five for the lead. In doing this, Benjamin, in his "Dirtfish" racer, pulled out to a healthy lead to experience his 3rd COTA victory!

# 8 of Kirtwood held his pace to take a comfortable second and the exciting race for third was up for grabs as Leithch slipped to fifth and the Jay Howard Motorsports Driver # 41 of Braden Eves grabbed fourth.  #85 of Dakota Dickerson, Kiwi motorsport, started 5th and finished 3rd to round off the podium. The 11 lap race ended, and the Danish anthem played. In Benjamin’s own words:  “It was amazing knowing I was standing on the top step of this weekends F1 podium!”

Globe Racing brought three cars and respected driver/coach Andy Lee out again to help with driver development.

The F4 cars are built by respected US manufacturer, Crawford Composites, and with the highly-tuned 1600cc Honda engine, they are a great stepping stone for these young guns to advance they driving careers. FIA, SCCA Pro Racing, Onroak Automotive, Pirelli Tire North America, JRi Shocks, Speedcom Communications, Whelen and Honda Performance Development, Inc (HPD) are all supporting this great racing series.
