The DTM was relaunched in the year 2000 under the name “German Touring Car Masters” and attracted many fans as a follow-up series to the original DTM/ITC (1984 to 1996). Pure prototypes were fielded until 2020, with cars complying with the FIA GT3 regulations introduced to the series since. The most popular international touring car series provides its visitors far more than just motor racing. Open paddock, fair ticket prices, regular autographing sessions are just some of the features making DTM that attractive for fans.

Where Fangio and Senna scored victories, where Ludwig and ‘Strietzel’ Stuck had success in DTM, where the legend of the Silver Arrows started: the Nürburgring. Opened in 1927, the ‘Ring ranks among the world’s best-known race tracks, particularly because of the legendary Nordschleife, also know as the ‘Green Hell’.

An extra portion of action in front of the grandstands

3.6 kilometres is the length of the Nürburgring sprint circuit. The advantage for spectators: in the grandstands, they get to see the cars driving part particularly often. Spectacular action is guaranteed!

The (in)famous Eifel weather

At the Nürburgring, the weather is unpredictable. While the race may have got underway in bright sunshine, a heavy downpour can occur in the very next minute. The Eifel weather has already led to many spectacular races. But don’t worry: many of the grandstand are covered.
