Historique connu

- English below -  - - Ein cooler Klassiker unter den coolen Klassikern: das Jaguar E-Typ Serie 1 4.2 Coupé. Notwendig? Auf keinen Fall. Schön? Ein Schneller! Werden wir Sie bald sehen? - - - - - A Cool Classic of Cool Classics: the Jaguar E-type Series 1 4.2 Coupe. Our Series 1 FHC is built for the real driver, not for the looks of it. Her beautiful British Racing Green shows some patina and has 50 shades of Green. The bar behind the seats (stabilization and straps) already tells it a little bit. Apart from the Sunday rides, this Series 1 can also be used for more serious work. The tripmaster is present, the engine has just a little extra spunk and the sound... Well, that's simply indescribable! - - The Jag is very well maintained and still has its original gearbox and engine, which makes it a matching number. This can be checked by the way, the E-type is provided with a Jaguar Trust Certificate. - - Besides the extensive documentation and execution, this Jag is executed in one of the (we think) most beautiful color combinations. British Racing Green with a black leather interior. - - The E-type Series I was introduced in Europe on March 15, 1961 at the Geneva Motor Show and in the United States in April that same year at the New York Motor Show. When the car was first shown, Enzo called Ferrari "The most beautiful car ever made". To this day, he is still right! - - The car was designed as a two-seater GT coupe (FHC) and a two-seater convertible (OTS). The first half year, except for a few, only E-types were built with the steering wheel on the left side, mainly for the American market. Only a few were built for the British market and delivered to specially selected celebrities. The rest had to wait half a year. - - The Series 1 got a 3.8 liter 6-in-line engine that came from the XK150S. In 1964, its displacement was increased to 4.2 liters. With this upgrade the Series 1 4.2 got a top speed of 241 km/h (!). Ours also has something like bigger carburetors, better cooling and an (almost) open exhaust. Necessary? Absolutely not. Nice? A Fasterpiece! Will we see you soon?
