DKW, a German firm based southwest of Dresden, provided the German military with one of its more popular motorcycle types, the NZ350. Of a largely conventional design, the model was powered by a single-cylinder 346cc 2-stroke engine that provided road speeds of 100 km/h with ranges up to 350 kilometres. The vehicle weighed 171kg and primarily served in the dispatch role - though its user could find many uses for this fast-moving system. The NZ 350 was noted for its cross-country capabilities, ruggedness and agility and purchased in quantity throughout 1939-1945. Specialist restored more recently by we understand Hans Schulz in Bavaria, this DKW has stood the test of time in a very turbulent period in history and proven to be a very versatile piece of engineering. Offered at No Reserve on 18th May 2019 at Chiswick House. View 1939 DKW NZ 350 For Sale on Coys.co.uk for further details.
