The Ferrari 212 Export was powered by a 2.5 liter which produced 150 bhp at 6,500 rpm. 12 cars carried a Touring body work, 12 were bodied by Vignale, 2 by Motto and 1 by Fontana. The 212 Export was delivered to racing teams like Scuderia Guastalla and driven by successful racing drivers as Luigi Villoresi winning many events.
Villoresi won the Coppa InterEuropa in Monza, Pagnibon and Barraquet finished 1st OA in the Tour de France, in 1952 Phil Hill won in the very same car Torrey Pines in South California, in 1951 Indy Driver Jonnie Parsons tested a Touring barchetta at the factory, Vittorio Marzotto and Paolo Fontana finished the Giro di Sicila 1st OA. Even in 1953 the 212 Export was winning races, this time in Palm Springs, Arizona with Ernie McAfee at the wheel. Back in 1951 Piero Scotti was Italian sports car champion winning many hillclimbs, Jacques Peron and Jean Lucas won the Rally du Maroc and finished in earlier the same year 2nd in the Tour de France....
