Costa: "It was a good working day today"

It was a good working day today, even if it wasn't perfect. The gearbox of Luca's car leaked oil so he had to stop, while everything was fine with Felipe's car. That means, that we still have some work to do to be ready for the race in Melbourne: it's enough that a detail is not right to destroy the whole race. We are quite satisfied as far as the performance is concerned, but it's impossible to say where we stand compared to the others. We've used the track alone today so we don't have realistic lap times. Next week we have another three test days here at Barcelona. Also Schumacher wil be here for one day: it's important to be able to count on his help as a test driver.

The second test day to Barcelona has ended
21st February 2008
Circuit de Catalunya - 4.655 km

Weather
air temperature 10/18 °C
track temperature 10/25 °C
Sunny, humid track at the beginning, later dry

Second day of tests this week for the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, also today at the Circuit de Catalunya, just outside Barcelona.

Under favourable weather conditions Luca Badoer and Felipe Massa continued with the program started yesterday, concentrated on reliability, electronics and setup tests and the development of new aerodynamic solutions.

This is the day in numbers: 102 laps for Luca (best lap time 1.22.535) and 96 for Felipe (1.22.213).

The Scuderia will continue the tests here also tomorrow, again with Badoer and Massa on the track.

First day of testing for Scuderia at Barcelona
20th February 2008
Circuit de Catalunya - 4,655 km

Weather
air temperature 11/12 °C
track temperature 11/13 °C
Cloudy, scattered showers, wet track

First day of the tests this week by the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro at the Circuit de Catalunya just outside Barcelona.

Scattered showers and a wet track characterized the day. Felipe Massa and Luca Badoer were the two drivers, designated to start this test session. The Brazilian driver tested some updates of the F2008's aerodynamics, while the official test driver of the Scuderia continued working on the development of the car's standard version.

Taking into account the conditions of the track, the team decided to limit the kilometres driven today: 40 laps by Felipe (best lap time 1.30.673) and 33 laps driven by Luca (1.31.288).

The Scuderia will continue the tests on the 21st with Luca Badoer and Felipe Massa.
