The DTM was relaunched in the year 2000 under the name “German Touring Car Masters” and attracted many fans as a follow-up series to the original DTM/ITC (1984 to 1996). Pure prototypes were fielded until 2020, with cars complying with the FIA GT3 regulations introduced to the series since. The most popular international touring car series provides its visitors far more than just motor racing. Open paddock, fair ticket prices, regular autographing sessions are just some of the features making DTM that attractive for fans.

The Red Bull Ring DTM weekend is a true motorsport festival for the entire family. With DTM, DTM Trophy, DTM Classic and attractive support categories, there is a varied on-track racing programme, but there is a comprehensive programme away from the track, too.

The circuit in Styria was opened under the name of Österreichring in 1969. Spectacular Formula 1 races at the high-speed track significantly contributed to the worldwide reputation of the facility, but sports cars and touring cars provided plenty of action, too. In the mid-1990s, the track was shortened and updated. After an interruption of the activities for some years, the circuit was re-opened under the Red Bull Ring banner in 2011. The venue is known as one of the best in Europe: facilities for teams, drivers and spectators are first class. Several DTM teams have a home round at the Red Bull Ring.

Embedded in the beautiful landscape of Styria, the Red Bull Racing is providing a great combination of nature and racing. Because of the topography, there is plenty of undulation, providing an additional challenge for the drivers.

Visitors have great opportunities to follow the racing at the Red Bull Ring: from the impressive grandstand, they have an excellent view of a major part of the track and the same can be said from the back straight that allows for an unparalleled panoramic view of the Mur valley. Something like this can’t be found at any other race track worldwide! Of course, a visit to the paddock is a must, too: with the pit walk, the pit view box and numerous further activities, DTM is bringing the visitors really close to the action.
