After World War ll Alfa Romeo were able to return to manufacturing Italian automobiles, however a new model was not launched until 1950. The new design being the 1900, a twin overhead cam 1,859cc 4-cylinder saloon. However, it was the second model produced that proved significant, the Guilietta of 1954, a 2 2 by Bertone. The Berlina model hit the production line in 1955 and soon afterwards a Spider convertible by Pininfarina was available. In 1962 Alfa Romeo introduced the Giulietta’s successor, the Guilia, a Sprint GT coupe version which followed in 1963, with engines available in many different specifications. This original rare UK-supplied GTC, one of only 99 right hand drive versions produced was first registered on 17th February 1966 having been completed at the factory on 23rd June 1965. The car underwent a refurbishment program in 2010 for the Alfa Romeo Centenary in Milan, including a full interior re-trim. The car was subsequently featured in the July 2016 edition of Classic and Sports Car Magazine. The car is wonderfully original with original dashboard, gauges, map light, steering wheel and Touring badges on bulkhead and front wings. Coming with a comprehensive history file including a confirmation email from Alfa Romeo archives stating the car’s production information, former keeper’s details, service history, past MOT test certificates and copy of original instruction manual. This is a truly stunning GTC that would be the envy of any collection.View 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTC For Sale on Coys.co.uk for further details.
