The third edition of Monaco Motor Legend, a show dedicated to collector cars, was held from March 8-11th, 2012 at Port Hercule in Monaco. The show is a gathering of clubs and professionals and hosted a Concours d’Elegance for the third consecutive year. Highlights of the show were a wonderful Rolls-Royce lent by the Prince Rainier Museum, and a spectacular Ferrari stand, displayed by the local club “Passion Automobiles”, which by itself was worth the visit: the Ferrari 500 Mondial Pinin Farina spider s/n 0458MD, an original yellow F40, Testarossa, F50 and Ferrari Enzo!

Cavallari displayed a magnificent 288 GTO on Sunday, and a Dino 246 GT could be seen on another stand. Among other makes, one could see a rare DMC De Lorean, a Mercedes 300 SL roadster and a couple of Facel Vega.

The Concours d’Elegance, held on Sunday, was eclectic with cars as different as an Isotta-Fraschini, two Bugatti Grand Prix, two Ferrari 275 GTB, two Talbot-Lago, a magnificent S Bentley cabriolet, a lime green Lamborghini Miura, the Maserati Boomerang and a splendid red Cord roadster among others. A nice moment was the parade of the cars in Monte Carlo streets just before the Concours.

Although the quantity of cars displayed was somewhat disappointing, the quality of the cars and the Concours d’Elegance were worth the visit.
