The first edition of the International Amsterdam Motor Show (IAMS) has opened its door over the four day Easter weekend 2018. 58,245 visitors were enthralled with rare classics from private collections and historic racers. But also modern super cars from Lamborghini to McLaren and from Pagani to Ferrari were exhibited in five halls covering 30,000 m².

One unique car drawing attention was the 2017 Champion in the “Light two-wheel drive” class within the NTTO (Dutch Tractor Pulling Association), the “Poison Ducky”. Based on a Citroën 2CV body on top of an adapted truck chassis, the Poison Ducky is powered by a Chevy 8,3 L Big Block, with methanol injection and a MSD 7AL-2 Plus ignition. This allows for approximately 700 HP.

The contact with the track is taken care of by Dick Cepek Giant puller tires. The wheel speed amounts to about 60 km/h.

The racer has been built by the 3 Dutch born brothers Herweijer, who are from the area of Dordrecht. The brothers have been into tractor pulling since 2013 and participate in at least 6 race-weekends per year counting for the championship.

The appearance of the Poison Ducky at IAMS and the “Mien Masjien”, another light two-wheel drive racer in a Ford Capri body, were sponsored by 2Produce.

Due to the successful launch, the IAMS will be a recurring event on the RAI Amsterdam calendar for the Easter weekend.
